I hold no interest in photographs of models, nature or wildlife. However, show me a photograph of a hut, a garage, an empty swimming pool, a menu board, a toilet, cassettes, old television sets or static caravans and I will come running.

With this in mind, I tip my hat to J Bennett Fitts for showing the beauty of dereliction that town planners and out of town department store customers will never appreciate.

My friend said he saw a real life pimp, complete with cane and all the usual ho-bashing paraphernalia on my street the other day. This, in addition to the amazingly fun sounding Doodle Bar is a sure sign that South London is on the up. The aformentioned bar not only lets you freely doodle on the walls but also has regular ping pong evenings. Unbeatable.

Unsurprisingly for someone who openly admits liking cults and witches, his work is a little bit weird. Not "look at me, I like The Horrors and weekend self harm" weird, but the sort of weird that means pictures of pentagrams and cartoon bears don't look out of place.

It isn't unusual for me to be horrendously late to discover something good (I think I'm due to get into Animal Collective sometime in mind 2010) but this just takes the biscuit. Not only has Dianne Arbus' photography been around for a good couple of decades, it has also been referred to on the bastion of New York culture that is Sex and The City.

Oh well, the photographs are still amazing and I will be attending her show at the Timothy Taylor Gallery this weekend.

More Danny Sangra I'm affraid. He directed the new-ish video for one of my favourite bands, Metronomy. Apparently "it's not for the kids, it's not sweet and chirpy, not supposed to make you 'smile'. It's not a pack of Refreshers it's more of a raw steak."

I liked a band called Lost Penguin, who in hindsight were fucking dire. In fact, even at the time I think I thought they were (brilliantly) shit. But every cloud has a silver lining. Danny Sangra used to do the artwork for said band and I have followed his work ever since. He's got a new show opening on June 11th on Conduit Street, London; Season Of The Witch. Go and look at it.

Now the clever people at Jasuto have released an iPhone soft synth which follows the same principles of Reactable but using the iPhones touch screen. Amazing.

I blogged a while ago about Ian Caulkett's work, so it's a pleasure to announce that he's been kind enough to produce a limited edition screenprint for us. Have a look and let us know what you think... I'm over the moon with it so an enormous thanks to Ian for his time and effort and inclination and all the rest of it!

He'll be drowning in free drinks and appreciation tomorrow night. Come and say hello tomorrow night at O-Bar for the chance of getting your hands on one.

I also went to see Alex Ostrowski and Hattie Newman's Ferdrigoni Mountains show last night. I took some crap photos on my phone that don't do their work any justice so go and check it out for yourselves. It's damn good and also features some cool work by Marcus Oakley, Supermundane and Luke Best.

I'm currently up in the mountains snowboarding and after many 'superman' type crashes from pissing around with my iPod, i've settled on what's my best boarding tune.

Behold; the Contemporary Noise Quintet. The music is described as Jazz music without the Jazz?! I think they are qulaity so worth a shout out and my favorite track below. Also, they are playing at Cargo (London) on the 14th May so check it out.

We've teamed up with the mighty Cut and Paste to to give you a sneak preview of the international event that's heading to The Coronet London on Sat 4th April, when designers will go head-to-head in a knockout creative tournament. You can get a sneak preview first at Collage Club next week, where some of the London competitors will be coming out to rally your support and will be getting involved with some live illustration to start getting their creative reflexes up to speed! They'll may well need a stiff drink to steady their nerves before the tournament on Saturday. To get advance Cut&Paste tix, head here . If I could only recognise a fellow collage maker in the street, I'd give them one of those really manly nods of approval that I see football fans give eachother. As I can't, I'll just have to continue posting them up on here and hope they don't shout at me for infringing on their copyright.

Crayon Dreamer has come up trumps with his new work and he's one of the coolest young illustrators on the block at the moment. I think his website is having some trouble coping with the demands of the modern world at the moment but it's definitely worthy of a peek when it's back on track.

Riton has done the honourable thing and ‘gone krautrock’. If 1970’s Germany had been dumped off in Fabric on a Friday night and discovered the joys of ecstacy tablets, it would probably sound a little bit like this.

It’s fairly spectacular and the sort of record I dream of uncovering at a jumble sale and telling all of my friends about. Finding it on MySpace and writing about it on a blog no one reads will have to do!

We are a club night built on fun and free collaboration for friendly people. What we don't want to be is another wanky minimal techno night or a super hip hoxton toss up with the next big electro punk 'band'. We just want to play our favourite tunes, get creative and have a little dance. We're launching at O-Bar next Thursday with Chesus and Rodski's Baltimore flavours. They're currently top of the Electric Zoo chart with their tune Whyyyy and are heading out on tour with the mighty Toddla T in the next couple of months... good work if you can get it.
