4 producers to keep an eye on for the future + 1 shameless promoter

After trawling through the net over the last few months, i've found a few jems which I just have to share:

Cut/Bleed - Riptide

There's not a massive amount of info about this guy apart from he's German and can make awesome deep tech house. Check it out:

Myspace

Narcofunk - Lighten Up

"Who's afraid of being melodic?" well not this mo-fo. Lots of synths, strings and stabs. Deep house with a touch of techno:

Myspace

Tonalbalance - Dumb

Simple yet incredibly beautiful music. Sounds like Bop's dog track but predates it by 2 years!

Fidelium - Horse Story

Music for a short film about 2 years of child abuse. It scares the hell out of me in it's magical glory. Not sure what he's trying to get across but it's amazing none the less

diSapia - a little melody

I couldn't resist! Something to ease you off to and finish this

Goalkeepers and wrestlers and comedy rats

A quick look down the index list of Rhys Coren's blog gives you a quick idea of the sort of stuff he's into... Anyone with three references to Grange Hill on his blog is alright by me.

Check out more of his work here

Diamond Vampires

I haven't really got in the summer mood yet, so I'll continue to post dreary disco tracks until I wake up one morning and feel compelled to go to Topshop and buy some shit sunglasses that I'll leave in the pub the following weekend.

I posted up a Diamond Vampires track a while ago and I can honestly say that they are my favourite band in the world at the moment. Here's a suitably mysterious video from them.

My Hero

If we all had the mind of Daniel Eatock, the world would be a better place.

A revolution in synthesis... Jasuto Modular Synth for iPhone

I've been following innovative Modular synths for a while after seeing a demo of it Reactable on Youtube which blew me away.

Now the clever people at Jasuto have released an iPhone soft synth which follows the same principles of Reactable but using the iPhones touch screen. Amazing.

You can get it off the App store now for just over 50p.

Magnus Moriarty™

I know very little about Magnus Moriarty™ other than he is on Metronomicon Audio, one of the finest indie labels in the whole world. I think this track might very well be his new single and it is one of my favourite tracks of the year so far.

Enjoy the sunshine!(responsibly)

Thanks / Merci / Gracias

Thanks to everyone who came down for the Cut and Paste party on Thursday. We had picture makers, drunken merrymakers and even a couple of rappers thrown in for good measure.

Photographs coming soon!

Peace and love

Neasden Control Centre

for old times sake...

Collage Club hearts Ian Caulkett

I blogged a while ago about Ian Caulkett's work, so it's a pleasure to announce that he's been kind enough to produce a limited edition screenprint for us. Have a look and let us know what you think... I'm over the moon with it so an enormous thanks to Ian for his time and effort and inclination and all the rest of it!

He'll be drowning in free drinks and appreciation tomorrow night. Come and say hello tomorrow night at O-Bar for the chance of getting your hands on one.

I also went to see Alex Ostrowski and Hattie Newman's Ferdrigoni Mountains show last night. I took some crap photos on my phone that don't do their work any justice so go and check it out for yourselves. It's damn good and also features some cool work by Marcus Oakley, Supermundane and Luke Best.

See you soon
